The Hotel Belle-Vue Marseille has a high reputation since the 1950’s and kept its legendary colours : Red, Blue and primary colours chosen by Le Corbusier during the building of the Cite Radieuse.
Renewed et refurbished in 2020, the Hotel Belle-Vue chose to preserve its authenticity. For the rooms a pastel touch was added.
Formerly a place of passage for sailors in search of escape, the current decoration is designed to provide you with peace and well-being. The carpet is a nostalgic reminder of the 1950s, as is the choice of oak furniture. Chairs from the Baumann manufacture, picked up by the owner, enhance the tone, with elegance and sobriety. Three original works by painter Hervé Van Auweghem, acquired by our establishment, are exhibited in our walls for the pleasure of our guests. Van Auweghem’s works are linked to his discoveries during his travels around the world when he was a merchant navy officer. We often find port atmospheres, always rich and alive. This contemporary artist, who went through the Fine Arts of Rennes in 1969, widely recognized throughout the region, charms us with the quality of his work. Beyond the rating he enjoys today, we particularly appreciate his love for the city of Marseille, which he expresses with sensitivity.
